Electronic Funds Transfer

House of Cheval will not process the order until confirmation of the EFT or payment is received and the funds are reflecting.


Payment System

We are dedicated to providing secure online payment gateways. All transactions are process by third party payment gateway, namely Payfast, and encrypted using appropriate encryption technology.

You warrant that you are fully authorised to use the credit card supplied for purposes of paying the Goods. You also warrant that your credit card has sufficient available funds to cover all the costs incurred as a result of the services used on the Website.


Credit Card Acquiring And Security

Credit card transactions will be acquired for House of Cheval via approved payment gateways. Our payment gateways use the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details will be stored on our site.


Goods Damaged In Transit

We are committed to ensuring your goods arrive in good condition, but if a parcel should arrive partly or completely damaged, the customer has 120 minutes from the time of delivery to request a collection. Should no issues be reported at the time of delivery, the parcel will be considered as being delivered in good condition and no subsequent claims or complaints regarding the condition of the good(s) will be accepted by the seller or House of Cheval.

Photos of the damaged goods may be uploaded and sent to House of Cheval via email.

Any parcel(s) that are unclaimed and returned to the seller may be sent back to the customer should the customer be willing to cover any fees for delivery.


Faults and Repairs

If your goods are delivered and are faulty or develop a fault within the first 7 days, you may return the good(s) if applicable to the seller free of charge by requesting a Returns Authorisation form from the seller/supplier. This is dependent on the seller’s return policy.


Warranty Policy

Only applicable if marked on item packaging and stated in the item’s description by the seller.

The details of the customer are separate from card details provided

The Customer details are stored under “My Profile” separately from the provided card details.


Payment Options

Payments may be made via Payfast using either a bank or credit card, instant EFT etc. The payment options are provided at checkout.



House of Cheval undertakes never to sell or make your personal information available to any third party unless we are compelled to do so by law.

Should an event arise of a fraudulent online payment, House of Cheval reserves the right to disclose the required personal information for the purpose of a criminal investigation or any other legal obligations.


Whilst House of Cheval is committed to doing our utmost to protect your privacy rights, we cannot be held accountable for any liabilities for unauthorised or unlawful disclosures of  a buyer or seller’s personal information made by any third parties not under our control. Unless such disclosure of personal details is a result of gross negligence on our behalf.

Should any personal information be disclosed by a buyer or seller to a third party, such as an external supplier.

House of Cheval are not liable for any damages or losses incurred to the buyer os seller as a result of this information being disclosed to a third party. We do not regulate or instigate control over how a third party utilises any personal information provided by the seller or buyer. Please read the privacy policy of any third party source before submitting any of your personal information.


Choice of Law

This Website is controlled, operated and administered by House of Cheval from our offices within the Republic of South Africa. Access to the Website from territories or countries where the content or purchase of the products sold on the Website is illegal is prohibited. The User of our site may not use this Website in violation of South African export laws and regulations. If the User accesses this Website from locations outside of South Africa, that User is responsible for compliance with all local laws within their country.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the User of our site gives consent to the jurisdiction of the local Magistrate Court in the event of any dispute. If any of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions are found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to give effect to the intent of these Terms and Conditions, and the remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall continue in full force and effect. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Seller and the Buyer with regard to the use of the Content and this Website.


Limitation of liability

The Website and all Content on the Website, including any current or future offer of products or services, are provided on an “as is” basis, and may include inaccuracies or typographical errors. The Owners make no warranty or representation as to the availability, accuracy or completeness of the Content. Neither Provider nor any holding company, affiliate or subsidiary of Provider, shall be held responsible for any direct or indirect special, consequential or other damage of any kind whatsoever suffered or incurred, related to the use of, or the inability to access or use the Content or the Website or any functionality thereof, or of any linked website, even if Provider is expressly advised thereof.


Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights

The Provider supplies certain information to the website of House of Cheval. Content currently or pending to be displayed at this Site is provided by the Provider being a seller, its affiliates and/or subsidiary, or any other third party owners of such content, and includes but is not limited to Literary Works, Musical Works, Artistic Works, Sound Recordings, Cinematograph Films, Sound and Television Broadcasts, Program-Carrying Signals, Published Editions and Computer Programs (“the Content”).

All such proprietary works, and the compilation of the proprietary works, are copyright the Seller/Provider and House of Cheval, its affiliates or subsidiary, or any other third party owner of such rights (“the Owners”), and is protected by South African and international copyright laws. The Providers reserve the right to make any changes to the Website, the Content, or to products and/or services offered through the Website at any times and without notice. All rights in and to the Content is reserved and retained by the Owners. Except as specified in these Terms and Conditions, the User is not granted a license or any other right including without limitation under Copyright, Trademark, Patent or other Intellectual Property Rights in or to the Content.


Changes and Updates to our Terms and Conditions

House of Cheval reserves the right to change, modify, add to or remove from portions or the whole of these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes be effective immediately upon being posted to our website.

It is the obligation of the user to check our Terms and Conditions on the site for any changes made. By continuing to use the website of House of Cheval following any adjustments to these Terms & Conditions, it is considered notice of acceptance to abide by and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including any changes or updates.


Referral Fees and Commission Percentages  

Sellers pay a referral fee on each item sold.

A percentage of the total sales price for all products that a buyer pays (this includes the shipping, product price or any other charges relevant to the product itself and charged by the seller) is deducted as a referral percentage by House of Cheval. This percentage is 12.5% deductible after the sale is complete and paid directly to House of Cheval as a commission.

The onus is on the vendor to mark-up their product(s) by this 12.5% prior to sales or choose to pay away the 12.5% themselves at the point of sale of their product(s).
